The first fencing tournament in Ystad was arranged by Ystads Fäktklubb in 1935. It´s since then one of the biggest fencing tournaments in Sweden.
In the 72nd  edition, ”Ystad International 2006” 224 fencers from 13 countries participated.

June 2nd – 3rd 2007 it´s time for the 73rd  Ystad International (http://yfk.se/yint/yint07/) with
* womens epée and mens epée
* womens sabre and mens sabre
* veterans epee (40 years and older)
* team competitions epée and sabre
