As you may know, Fencing is included in the sports for the SURREY YOUTH GAMES this year, to be held on Sunday 24th June, in
It would be great if we could ensure that we have teams from all boroughs participating. Team selections will be made by local team managers. Contact details for each borough are given below.

FW: Training 4 Success - Elite athletes

Training 4 Success talented performers workshops on 15th May 2007.
Aimed at National Level athletes (inc those on the Surrey FANS scheme >> more information about how YOUR talented athletes can join and the benefits visit http://www.activesurrey.com/content-1687) the evening will include the launch of the 40th FANS centre in Surrey and a choice of 2 workshops
o Psychological skills, using visualisation, and building confidence before competition. Run by SPARCs (Roehampton University)
o Role of Strength & conditioning (core stability) Run by Portsmouth Uni
The evening will begin at 6.30pm at Winston Churchill Sports Centre, Woking, and is open to Talented athletes (FANS, World Class or Top Ten nationally)*, for the nominal fee of £5.00. Their athlete supporters are also welcome to attend/ observe (inc mentors, coaches and/or parents) for a fee of £2.50.
Booking is by NEXT Friday 11th May so if you know of any suitable athletes who would benefit from or like to attend this training please forward them the attached booking form ASAP.
* Places maybe available for athletes with potential to achieve this level, please contact us to confirm if space is available.
