I was a both a coach educator and examiner for the then joint coaching committee of the AFA/BAF, and continued thereafter in those capacities for the BAF whilst, simultaneously and successfully delivering the development programme of the AFA under the then Development Officer of the AFA. The latter included not only technical aspects of fencing but also physiological and psychological development, including reporting to the Development Officer and liaising for the purpose of monitoring annual training programmes.
As well as working with AFA Development Officer, I have also sat on the AFA/BFA London Section Committee, the BAF committee as members representative, as an elected committee member and as a member of the Disciplinary Committee. My commitment to fencing, its development and continuing education is well known, as I continue to deliver coaching workshops, have published articles here and in the USA, and have written a well-received book.  Not only have I taught at established schools and clubs but have been involved in the establishment of classes where fencing did not previously exist.
Individual fencers trained by me have achieved National titles, Gold, Silver & Bronze Commonwealth medals, and have been included in the top 16 of the World rankings or results of seniors or juniors. Coaches with whom I have been involved have achieved qualification at all levels.
